Production facility for the plant protectant Xemium at BASF's Ludwigshafen Verbund site. Xemium® belongs to the chemical class of carboxamides. BASF research teams have thus developed a high-performance active ingredient that helps farmers worldwide to control fungal diseases in various crops. These include for example soybean rust and septoria in cereals. The This highly efficient fungicide ensures consistently high yields for farmers. Gas Treatment

OASE® yellow for Selective Treatment

OASE® yellow

Developed to enable selective removal of sulfur components from natural gas as well as acid-gas enrichment (AGE) or tail-gas treatment (TGT) units, BASF's OASE® yellow technologies offer a range of solutions that meet our customer's specific project requirements.

The new gas treating technology OASE® sulfexx™ was jointly developed by ExxonMobil and BASF. Selective Treatment

BASF is continuously improving its portfolio of selective removal technologies to allow us to adjust the absorption parameters to meet your specific needs: these range from complying with strict environmental regulations to customizing the composition of the treated gas.

Refineries

For the refinery market, BASF offers the broadest portfolio of amines in the gas treatment industry. In addition, BASF technologies can offer innovative solutions that minimize operational costs with increased flexibility for the refinery operator in meeting strict environmental specifications. With production and storage facilities in the Americas, Europe and Asia, we provide a reliable and cost-effective solution that addresses the immediate needs of our customer.

BASF licensing ExxonMobil's FLEXSORBTM technology

BASF, owner of the OASE® brand, is extending its gas treatment portfolio by licensing ExxonMobil's highly effective FLEXSORBTM technology. The agreement provides BASF with the right to sub-license the technology and supply the related solvent to third parties. FLEXSORBTM is known for its selective removal of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in presence of carbon dioxide (CO2). The selectivity advantage allows for high H2S removal at low solvent circulation rates resulting in lower energy consumption compared to conventional processes.
