Ludwigshafen, Germany – April 19, 2017 – Driven by continued increases in cost of raw materials, transportation, and energy, BASF will increase prices by 3 to 6% for flocculants for the mining industry with immediate effect as contracts allow, depending on products and delivery locations.

Damien Caby joined BASF effective January 1, 2017 as the new head of the Global Business Unit Oilfield and Mining Solutions. Caby received Engineering degrees from École Polytechnique and École des Mines in Paris/France. Prior to BASF, he held several executive positions at Imerys in North America and Europe, in Performance Minerals, Oil & Gas and Paper. In his latest role, he was heading the Filtration and Performance Additives North America Division.
